Ascend Advocacy Agency is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families impacted by domestic violence through compassionate advocacy, education, prevention programming, and community support services. We work to help survivors rise above violence, rebuild confidence, and create healthier futures for themselves and their families.

Founded by Bobbie Benton, Ascend Advocacy Agency was built from a passion for helping others heal, grow, and break unhealthy cycles through advocacy, education, and meaningful community connection. With more than 27 years of experience in human services, our organization understands the importance of meeting people where they are with empathy, dignity, and respect.

Our mission is to empower individuals and families impacted by domestic violence by providing compassionate advocacy, education, and support services that promote safety, healing, and long-term stability. We equip survivors with the tools to break cycles of abuse and build healthy futures.

Through advocacy services, youth empowerment workshops, healthy relationship education, emotional wellness programming, community outreach, and emergency support resources, Ascend Advocacy Agency works to create safer and stronger communities throughout Southeast Michigan.

• Personal Protection Order (PPO) guidance and support
